He’s a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve and a former Suffolk County prosecutor who has spent his career protecting the public.
Jon has worked at the highest levels of government - as a counsel to the governor, an attorney at Homeland Security, and an investigative attorney at the MTA Inspector General - holding institutions accountable. Jon is running for Comptroller because Suffolk County residents need an independent watchdog.
On Day 1, Jon will:
(1) Audit no-bid and consultant contracts.;
(2) Institute a payroll audit to find no-show jobs;
(3) Begin work on a real-time online spending dashboard showing county expenditures, contracts, and vendors in a searchable format.
